Hornby Island Fire Rescue is located on Hornby Island, on the west coast of British Columbia. We are a volunteer department staffed with 22 members, led by Chief Doug Chinnery.
We have a four-bay fire-hall housing our four front line apparatus:
- 2004 American Lefrance pumper with 1,000 GPM pump and 1,050 gallon storage.
- 1996 Superior tanker with a 1,500 gallon capacity
- 2000 Crestline ambulance
- 1982 King/Seagrave rescue truck containing our forestry, high angle rescue, and auto extrication gear.
